About
About Raj Memorial School, Akbarpur Barota, Sonipat
Raj Memorial School is a private co-educational school at Akbarpur Barota village in Rai block, Sonipat district, teaching Class 1 to Class 5 in Hindi and English. It was established in 1995 and holds a Haryana education department recognition order from 2000. About 211 children study here with eight teachers, seven of them women.
Its roll has been genuinely stable — between 207 and 212 children in each of the last four years — which sets it apart from its two neighbours in the same village. Nine classrooms in good condition, four other rooms, its own building, a library, a playground, a computer lab and a medical facility are all recorded. The school reports career and behavioural counselling, learning-support and English-support programmes. There are no ramps and no science laboratories.

Questions
Frequently Asked
1
Is the school on the state board's unrecognised list?
expand_more
Yes. The Haryana board of school education lists it among unrecognised schools. Set against that, the school's own annual fee statement records a Haryana education department recognition order numbered Steno-2000/1262.65 and dated 6 November 2000, and the national register carries it as a recognised private school with a recognition year of 1997. The two registers govern different things and the source gives no reason for the listing.
2
What does that mean for my child in practice?
expand_more
Board recognition governs registration for Class 10 board examinations. This school teaches only to Class 5, so the listing has no practical effect on any child enrolled here. It is not a closure, not a ban, and says nothing about teaching. Ask to see the recognition order before you enrol.
3
Which board is the school affiliated to?
expand_more
None, and none is expected — board affiliation begins at Class 10 and this school teaches to Class 5.
4
What are the fees?
expand_more
A monthly fee of a thousand rupees in Class 1 rising to twelve hundred by Class 3, and nothing else at all — no admission fee, no examination fee, no prospectus charge. The school was permitted a small increase this year and took none, so fees are flat year on year.
5
How stable is the school?
expand_more
Notably stable. Enrolment has sat between 207 and 212 children in each of the last four years, with a full intake every year. Its two neighbours in this village have three and two children respectively.
6
What is the correct pincode?
expand_more
131103. India Post lists an Akabarpur Barota branch office under it. The national register carries 131001 for this school, which is Sonipat town's head office pincode and does not serve this village.
7
How many children per teacher?
expand_more
About 26 to one — eight teachers for 211 children across nine classrooms.
8
Is the school accessible for a child with a disability?
expand_more
No ramps are recorded. Discuss access directly before applying.
