Saraswati High School is a private co-educational school at Safiabad village in Rai block, Sonipat district, teaching Class 1 to Class 8 in English. It was established in 1990 and recognised for primary and upper primary in 1994. Despite the words High School in its name it does not teach Classes 9 or 10 — that is explained below.
About 146 children study here with seven teachers. Its most striking feature is the land: roughly 25,500 square metres, some six acres, with only 2,475 square metres built on. That is by a wide margin the largest site of any school we hold in this block, though the buildings on it are modest — eight classrooms and two other rooms in rented premises. A library of about 525 books, a computer lab, a playground and ramps are recorded.

No, despite High School appearing in its name. Five separate records agree: four years of government returns show no children in Classes 9 or 10; the register records no secondary recognition and no board affiliation; the school's own annual filing declares it a middle-level school with zero sections in Classes 9 to 12; its fee tables price nothing above Class 8; and no Safiabad school appears anywhere in the state board's affiliated list. Families will need to move the child to another school for Class 9.

Which board is the school affiliated to?

None, and none is expected. Board affiliation with the Haryana state board begins at Class 10, so a school teaching to Class 8 does not hold one.

What are the fees?

A monthly fee rising by a hundred rupees each class, from a thousand in Class 1 to seventeen hundred in Class 8, plus a one-time admission charge of a thousand rupees at the Class 1 and Class 6 entry points. New pupils pay the same as continuing ones.
