About
About Neel Lakshya Modern School, Piau Maniyari, Sonipat
Neel Lakshya Modern School is a private co-educational school at Piau Maniyari in Rai block, Sonipat district, teaching in Hindi and English. It was established in 2010 and works from rented premises with eight classrooms.
Parents should read this entry carefully before enquiring. Its roll held steady at 102 children for two years, then fell to six, and now stands at ten — nine of whom are in Class 1. Classes 5 to 8 have had no children for two consecutive years despite the register listing them. Seven teachers are still recorded. Separately, the national register has carried the school as unrecognised in every one of the eight years on record. Ramps, handrails and accessible toilets are recorded, along with a library and a playground.

Questions
Frequently Asked
1
How many children attend the school?
expand_more
Ten. Nine of them are in Class 1 and one is in Class 2. Two years ago the school had 102 children spread evenly across Classes 1 to 8. The fall is the most important fact here and you should ask the school to explain it.
2
Which classes does it actually teach?
expand_more
On the evidence, Classes 1 to 4. The register lists Classes 1 to 8, but Classes 5 through 8 have recorded no children for two consecutive years, and Classes 3 and 4 none this year though they had children last year. A Class 1 intake of nine children suggests the school is rebuilding from the bottom rather than closing, but confirm which classes will run before you enrol.
3
What is the school's recognition position?
expand_more
No recognition is evidenced anywhere. The national register has recorded its management type as unrecognised in every one of the eight years on record, from 2018-19 onwards, and its recognition-year fields are blank at every level. It has never filed a Haryana annual fee statement in any published year, so no recognition order number is available. It is not on the state board's unrecognised list, but that list governs Class 10 examinations only.
4
What are the fees?
expand_more
We have none to publish. The school has never filed an annual fee statement and no figures appear elsewhere. Ask directly.
5
Which board is the school affiliated to?
expand_more
None, and none is expected — board affiliation begins at Class 10 and no child here is near it.
6
Is the school still open?
expand_more
Yes. Its registration is recorded as operational and ten children are on roll with seven teachers. We found no evidence it has closed. The concern is the size and shape of the roll.
7
Is it accessible for a child with a disability?
expand_more
Ramps, handrails and toilets built for children with disabilities are all recorded — unusually good provision for a school this small.
8
Is the building the school's own?
expand_more
No, the premises are rented.
