About
About Sardar Patel Modern School, Khewra, Sonipat
Sardar Patel Modern School is a private co-educational school at Khewra village in Rai block, Sonipat district, teaching pre-primary through Class 8 in Hindi and English. It was established in 2001 by the Sardar Patel Education Society and holds a Haryana education department recognition reissued in 2024. About 222 children study here, with children in every class from Class 1 to Class 8 — not a school whose upper classes have emptied out.
It has the largest site in the village at about 5,500 square metres, with eleven classrooms, a library of some 2,500 books, a computer lab, and separate music, dance and art rooms. Badminton, kho-kho, chess, carrom and cricket are all recorded. There are no science laboratories, no hall and no ramps, and only eight teachers are on the register.

Questions
Frequently Asked
1
Which board is the school affiliated to?
expand_more
None, and none is expected. Board affiliation with the Haryana state board begins at Class 10, so a school teaching to Class 8 does not hold one. Families will need to move the child to another school for Class 9.
2
How many children per teacher?
expand_more
About 28 to one — eight teachers for 222 children across eleven classrooms. That is the thinnest staffing among the schools we hold in this village, so ask about class sizes on a visit.
3
What are the fees?
expand_more
A monthly fee rising by a hundred rupees each class, from Class 1 to Class 8, unchanged from last year despite a permitted increase. There is a one-time admission charge, a prospectus charge for new pupils, and an examination fee in Class 8 only.
4
What sports does the school offer?
expand_more
Badminton and kho-kho courts are recorded, along with chess, carrom and cricket. Combined with the largest plot in the village, this is one of the better-provided schools locally for physical activity.
5
Does it have a nursery section?
expand_more
Yes, with about 22 children on the current government return.
6
What is the correct pincode?
expand_more
131021. The national register carries 131023, but India Post places the Khewra branch office in 131021 and the school's own annual filing gives 131021 as well. Pincode 131023 covers a different set of villages.
7
Is the school accessible for a child with a disability?
expand_more
No ramps are recorded. Discuss access directly before applying.
8
Are the classrooms air-conditioned?
expand_more
We would not rely on it. The school's filing records its air-conditioned area as exactly equal to its entire built-up area, which is not a credible entry. Ask to see the classrooms.
