P.L. Shiksha Sadan, Bhaira Bankipur, Sonipat

On paper yes, in practice no. It is registered to Class 10 and holds a temporary board affiliation for it, but the government returns for three successive sessions show its Classes 9 and 10 carrying at most one child in any year, and Class 10 had none at all in the current session. We have listed the school as teaching to Class 8, because listing it as a Class 10 option would send a Class 9 family to a school with no Class 10 cohort. If the school tells you it is restarting those classes, ask to see the current enrolment before committing.

A temporary affiliation with the Board of School Education Haryana under code 18058, with no permanent component at any level. Temporary affiliation is a genuine renewable standing, renewed session by session rather than granted once, and the board charges an annual fee for it. It is not a lesser grade of recognition. Given the enrolment position above, ask to see the current session's renewal letter before any Class 9 or 10 admission.

About 81 children with seven teachers. The classes are very uneven — Class 3 has 26 children and Class 6 has 24, while Classes 1, 4 and 5 have between two and three each. The register data for this school is patchy, so treat all counts as indicative and ask the school directly.

The school filed no tuition fee at all in its annual statutory return, entering zero for every class across three years. The only amounts on record are a one-time entry charge of five hundred rupees at the primary stage and six hundred at the middle stage. We have not published a monthly figure, because none is evidenced — but an under-completed form is a far more likely explanation than free schooling. Ask the office what the monthly fee actually is.

No. M.L. Shiksha Sadan Middle School is a separate school in the same village with a near-identical name, one letter apart. This is P.L. Shiksha Sadan. Check carefully when enquiring.

We have published 131023, which is the government register's value for this school, but it is not settled. The school's own filing says 131028, and India Post has no post office at Bhaira Bankipur to arbitrate. The register is inconsistent even within this village. Confirm with the school before posting anything.

A library of about 600 books, a playground, a medical room and ramps with handrails. Its own filing records no computer lab, no science laboratories, no halls and no music, dance or art rooms.
