Carmel Community School, Sangam Vihar

Carmel Community School began in a modest way in 2005 at E-99/6, Gali No. 6 on Ratiya Marg in Block E, Sangam Vihar, and is run by the Carmel Community Trust on a no-profit, no-loss basis. It is a co-educational, English-medium elementary school recognised by the Directorate of Education, teaching Class 1 through Class 8 to around 380 children drawn from the surrounding Sangam Vihar lanes. The campus works out of fourteen instructional classrooms kept in good condition, with a medical room and day-care support, and runs the usual co-curricular activity in art and craft, dance, drama and music.

As a community-run school it keeps fees deliberately low and focuses on foundation-level schooling for local families rather than transport or boarding, neither of which it provides. Admissions run in the standard pre-session window, and children completing Class 8 typically continue at nearby secondary schools in the Sangam Vihar belt for Classes 9 and 10.
