Delhi Public School, Mathura Road

Delhi Public School, Mathura Road opened in 1949 and is the founding school of the DPS Society, on a central campus close to Nizamuddin and Pragati Maidan. It runs from pre-school through Class 12 under CBSE, with Science, Commerce and Humanities in the senior years and a student body of over 4,500. The campus is built out with more than ten laboratories, a digital library, multiple auditoriums, a swimming pool and RFID-based attendance, and is among the more accessibility-equipped schools in the city, with ramps, lifts and adapted washrooms.

Residential students stay in the Himalaya Hall hostel, with separate wings, shared rooms, residential staff and a fitness room; day scholars make up most of the roll. GPS-tracked transport runs across south and central Delhi. Admission for entry classes follows the Delhi DoE process, while senior entry is by the school's own assessment.
